Byeongsook Seo

Byeongsook represents clients in complex business disputes, including contract, intellectual property, director and officer, real estate and post-acquisition/merger disputes. He has helped his clients win significant monetary judgments and settlements, while helping others defeat claims that sought significant monetary judgments.

Christopher E. Hawk

Chris specializes in defending businesses and individuals in a wide variety of claims involving employment law, professional liability, commercial disputes, and construction law matters. He has significant trial and arbitration experience in numerous civil and administrative proceedings.

Manoj, co-chair of the Contract Disputes Practice Group, is a first-chair litigator of commercial cases for national and regional corporations involving breach of contract claims, creditors’ rights, class actions, antitrust, declaratory judgments, product liability and construction.

Sarah N. Turner

Sarah represents clients on individual life, health and disability benefits under ERISA, and on employment law issues including hiring, review and termination procedures, background checks, noncompetition agreements, discrimination, harassment and retaliation, wage-and-hour law, and the FMLA.

Leslie A. Benitez
Office Co-Managing Partner

Leslie represents clients in statewide and national litigation focusing on drug and medical device and tort and product liability matters. She also handles appeals and has argued many cases in state and federal courts, including the U.S. Supreme Court.

Ann Thornton Field

Litigation, aviation, and products liability attorney involved in high-profile trials including defense of death claims from Pan Am Flight 103; U.S. Navy experimental V-22 Osprey Tilt Rotor Aircraft; 1996 ValuJet accident; 1996 TWA 800 accident; and 2006 Brazilian Midair Collision.

Marcie Isom Fitzsimmons

Marcie represents private and public entities in employment matters and defends employers against discrimination, retaliation, and harassment claims. She counsels employers and litigates cases through trial involving the ADA, wage-and-hour, family medical leave laws, and an array of employment matters.

Kristin N. Reyna

Member of the Steering Committee for the Environmental/Toxic Tort Practice Group, Diversity Committee chair for the San Diego office. Handles complex environmental, toxic tort and product liability claims. Experienced in matters involving contamination of soil and groundwater, as well as occupational exposures to chemicals.

O’Kelly represents clients in employment law matters related to transactions and disputes and counsels startups and emerging growth companies through implementation of employment policies, contract review and legal compliance. He focuses on corporate diversity counseling and risk mitigation.

Tatum’s practice focuses on insurance coverage litigation with experience handling declaratory judgment actions, bad-faith litigation, and failure to procure coverage disputes. She also defends complex class action lawsuits involving alleged violations of the TCPA, FDCPA, and FLSA.
