The Gordon & Rees Real Estate Practice Group is divided into two sub-specialties: litigation and transactions. The Group's litigation attorneys handle real estate litigation matters of every type and scope, including the preparation and service of default notices, the prosecution and defense of unlawful detainer actions, breach of lease actions, breach of guaranty actions, easement disputes, boundary disputes, rent control disputes, wrongful eviction actions, condemnation actions, purchase and sale agreement disputes and land use disputes.

The Group's transactional expertise is equally varied and includes the negotiation of commercial, retail and industrial leases, purchase and sale agreements, parking agreements, construction documents, development agreements and advice to retail, commercial and industrial landlords on tax and entity formation matters. The following is a partial list of recent and ongoing matters handled by the Group's transactional attorneys:

• Represent owners/developers in connection with leasing over one million square feet of office space
• Represent technology tenant in development of international corporate headquarters and research campus
• Represent developers in land use and entitlement process
• Represented buyer in acquisition and financing of class-A office building
• Represented borrowers in connection with over $150 million in acquisition and permanent real estate financing
• Represented retailers in connection with leasing over 150 retail facilities
• Represented REIT in connection with contract for national management of telecommunications facilities
• Represented developer in connection with construction of gaming facilities
• Represented wireless telecommunications company with regard to construction of communications network
