As part of its efforts to increase diversity in the legal profession, Gordon & Rees established three $2500 scholarships to assist individuals with LSAT preparation courses. Natalie Torres, recipient of a 2007 Scholarship, reports that with higher scores from the course she took, she was admitted to a number of top ranked law schools. This fall, she will enroll at the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law. Ms. Torres was also accepted to the law schools at the University of California, Davis, the University of California, Hastings, Loyola University, Boston College, Boston University , Ohio (Mortiz), and Duke.

Ms. Torres is a graduate of University of California, Berkeley and currently is serving as an Executive Fellow with the Governor's Office of Emergency Services in Sacramento.

There are three LSAT Scholarships being offered this year. Applications are being accepted until July 18, 2008.
