Jack B. McCowan, a senior partner in the Gordon & Rees San Francisco office, was a discussion leader at the Conference on Diversity in the Bay Area Legal Community. This event was sponsored by The Bar Association of San Francisco, California Minority Counsel Program, and Minority Corporate Counsel Association. Mr. McCowan was a discussion leader for the "Open Discussion: Retention and Promotion" portion of the conference. An outstanding group of experts addressed new approaches to diversifying the legal profession, examining unconscious biases and stereotyping, improving retention and promotion strategies, and discussing how diversity impacts the bottom line. The conference was held at the Bank of America Building in San Francisco.
