Matthew Elstein is a partner in Gordon & Rees’s San Diego office. He devotes his practice to the trial of complex insurance and business litigation cases.
In the insurance arena, Mr. Elstein has over a decade of experience representing insurers and reinsurers in insurance coverage and bad faith cases. His substantive areas of insurance expertise include investigating and litigating complex claims under property, commercial general liability, director and officer, professional liability, employment practices, intellectual property, and “specialty” insurance policies and programs. Mr. Elstein has successfully tried several bad faith cases to verdict on behalf of insurers in both state and federal courts.
Mr. Elstein also represents corporate clients in complex business cases including class actions, trade secrets disputes, securities, corporate governance, business torts, unfair competition, antitrust, and government contracts disputes.
