A partner in the Employment Law Practice Group of Gordon & Rees LLP, Stephanie B. Bradshaw specializes in employment law and civil rights litigation, as well as counseling of management in employment matters.
Since 1994, Ms. Bradshaw’s practice has focused on labor and employment issues. Her experience includes representing management in litigation in state and federal courts, at both the trial and appellate levels. She has also represented employers at internal termination hearings, labor grievances and arbitrations and administrative hearings. Over the past several years, Ms. Bradshaw’s experience has included extensive pre-trial and trial experience and employer counseling in such areas as: FEHA, TITLE VII, ADA, ADEA, FMLA, CFRA, workers’ compensation, wage and hour law, labor contract issues, civil rights and employment-related tort law. Her litigation practice involves extensive interactions with clients, in-house counsel and administrative agencies, including agents of the DFEH, EEOC, WCAB and the Department of Industrial Relations.
Ms. Bradshaw’s counseling of management includes employment-related areas such as: applicant interviewing and hiring; progressive discipline, termination and grievance procedures; performance evaluations and peer review; employee benefits; policy manuals and personnel files; disability accommodations; employment references; confidentiality issues; and harassment investigations.
Ms. Bradshaw also specializes in traditional labor law, representing management in grievance hearings and arbitrations as provided under applicable collective bargaining agreements as well as in court with respect to federal preemption issues. Her clients in these areas include public entities, educational institutions, health care institutions, providers of professional security services, private businesses and corporations.
