Angela Vogel is senior counsel with the Employment practice group. Her practice focuses employment law and litigation, including claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, breach of contract, Family Medical Leave Act issues, negligent hiring and supervision and wage and hour claims.  Ms. Vogel also counsels employers and drafts and updates employment policies and procedures.

Ms. Vogel has successfully defended employers in matters in state and federal court, and in matters filed with agencies, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the State of Washington Human Rights Commission, and Department of Labor & Industries.  Ms. Vogel’s practice also includes defending clients in legal malpractice matters.

Before entering private practice, Ms. Vogel was an attorney with the Washington State Department of Financial Institutions, where she conducted investigations of Securities Act violations.

Representative Experience:

  • Successfully obtained dismissal of all claims for a client who operated a women's shelter who was sued by a former guest who alleged discrimination. 

  • Successfully obtained dismissal of all claims for a client sued by a former employee who alleged race discrimination and harassment. 

  • Successfully obtained No Reasonable Cause findings from the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and Washington Human Rights Commission for numerous clients, including for discrimination claims based on race, national origin, disability, and religion.

  • Successfully resolved State of Washington Department of Labor and Industries complaints and investigations regarding workplace safety issues and meal and rest periods.
