Tara Gillman is a partner in the San Diego office with the Employment practice group. Her practice focuses on representing restaurants, transportation companies, retail establishments, and other large and small businesses throughout California in a variety of legal claims, including wrongful termination, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, breach of contract, and wage and hour matters. In addition to defending employment litigation matters, Ms. Gillman practices preventative litigation by counseling her clients on the best ways to reduce their risks of being sued, especially from class action law suits. To this end, Ms. Gillman assists clients in revising their employee handbooks, including their policies and procedures to comply with all applicable California laws.
Prior to joining Gordon & Rees, Ms. Gillman worked in the general counsel’s office of a Fortune 200 company where she engaged in all phases of civil litigation involving tort liability and employment matters.
