U.S. News-Best Lawyers recently announced the 2011-2012 edition of the "Best Law Firms" rankings and Gordon & Rees received "Metropolitan First-Tier Ranking" in the category of "San Francisco: Product Liability Litigation – Defendants." Please click here to view Gordon & Rees's ranking.
U.S. News and Best Lawyers joined together to rank nearly 9,000 firms throughout the U.S. The "Best Law Firms" rankings are based on "a rigorous evaluation process that included thousands of clients, highly skilled lawyers and law firm representatives [to create this] unparalleled guide to law firm expertise." The metropolitan first-tier rankings will be published in November in the "Best Law Firms" publication that will be sent to 30,000 general counsel and in digital format to 58,000 leading lawyers around the globe.
About the 2011-2012 Rankings: The methodology used for the U.S. News-Best Lawyers "Best Law Firms" rankings involved six surveys, including a survey that was sent to 52,480 clients and a survey that was sent to 43,900 lawyers. 9,514 clients responded, including every Fortune 100 company and 587 of the Fortune 1000 companies. Clients voted on expertise, responsiveness, understanding of a business and its needs, cost-effectiveness, civility, and whether they would refer another client to a firm. Lawyers voted on expertise, responsiveness, integrity, cost-effectiveness, and whether they would refer a matter to a firm and whether they consider a firm a worthy competitor.
