Edmund Cooke Jr., senior counsel in the Washington, D.C. office of Gordon & Rees, presented at the Conference Board's Corporate Diversity & Inclusion Conference. Mr. Cooke discussed “Executive Order 13583: Its Implications for the Workplace.” This year’s event was held on June 27-28 at the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place in Chicago, Illinois.
The conference focused on ideas and solutions for enacting and expanding on diversity & inclusion advancements. Attendees, which included human resource and diversity professionals, shared generation of practices and policies designed to stimulate “new” thinking regarding global diverse talent management. The Conference presented an opportunity for diversity practitioners to network with diversity, talent management and human resources leaders from a broad range of industries.
In his practice, Mr. Cooke specializes in diversity counseling, diversity audits and providing assistance to companies with complex disputes and investigations. Additionally, he assists clients in designing and implementing diversity strategies and plans as well as crisis communication plans, and supplier diversity programs.
