Matt Foy, a partner in the San Francisco office of Gordon & Rees, will be speaking at DRI's Insurance Coverage and Practice Symposium which will take place in New York City on December 6-7, 2012. Matt's presentation is titled "The Worm That Byte Me: Emerging Data Breaches, Invasion of Privacy Claims and Cyber Crimes" and will cover insurance coverage issues relating to the proliferation of computer hacking, data breaches, and other alleged privacy invasions under traditional and new "cyber-liability" insurance products.
Other presentations at the conference will address emerging insurance coverage issues including the handling of claims under high SIR and deductible policies, the future of the "reasonably debatable" defense to bad faith actions, hot topics under professional liability insurance policies, and mass toxic tort litigation. The DRI symposium will take place at the Sheraton New York Hotel in New York, New York from December 6th-7th, 2012.
