Three Chicago Attorneys Receive "Super Lawyers" and "Rising Stars" Recognition for Third Consecutive Year

Gordon & Rees is proud to announce that Chicago attorneys J. Hayes Ryan, James Hiller, and Thomas Cronin have received the Super Lawyers® and Rising Stars® distinction in the 2012 Illinois Super Lawyers magazine. All three attorneys were also named as Rising Stars® in 2010 and 2011.

The selection of "Super Lawyers" is a result of independent research to determine the top five percent of legal professionals in Illinois. Each candidate is evaluated on 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement including verdicts and settlements, transactions, representative clients, experience, honors and awards, special licenses and certifications, position within the law firm, Bar and other professional activities, pro bono and community service as a lawyer, scholarly lectures and writings, education and employment background, and other outstanding achievements.

The selection of "Rising Stars" is made by an attorney-led research team that independently reviews the credentials of potential candidates and assigns points based on a set of evaluation criteria. Practicing lawyers are asked to nominate "the best attorneys who are 40 or under, or who have been practicing for 10 years or less." No more than 2.5 percent of the lawyers in any state are named to the Rising Stars list.

Gordon & Rees congratulates Hayes, James and Thomas on the outstanding achievements that are being recognized by their peers in the local and regional legal and business communities.
