Nancy Erfle Joins Gordon & Rees as Partner in Portland Office

On July 1, Nancy Erfle joined Gordon & Rees in Portland as a partner in the Tort & Product Liability Practice Group. She brings 23 years of wide-ranging state and federal product liability litigation experience to the firm.

Ms. Erfle focuses her practice on defending pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers, automotive manufacturers, agricultural chemical manufacturers, aviation manufacturers, and companies involved in business disputes. She has served on national litigation teams and as lead local and regional counsel in automotive and pharmaceutical mass tort cases. She also has tried two major hospital antitrust cases to successful verdicts.

She is a sustaining member of the Product Liability Advisory Council and the Defense Research Institute and a member of the International Association of Defense Counsel's Board of Directors, the American Bar Association's Litigation Section, and the Oregon Association of Defense Counsel. In 2007, Ms. Erfle served on the faculty of the International Association of Defense Counsel’s Trial Academy. She also serves as an adjunct professor for Lewis & Clark Law School's Aviation Seminar.

Ms. Erfle’s work has garnered her a Martindale-Hubbell peer rating of AV® Preeminent™ (5.0 out of 5.0). In 2012, Benchmark Litigation named her one of the Top 250 Women in American Litigation and in 2007, Northwest Women’s Journal named her one of the 100 Most Powerful Women. Her accolades also include Benchmark Litigation 2013 Oregon Litigation Star; Best Lawyers in America since 2010; Oregon Super Lawyers since 2006; and a 2004 Portland Business Journal 40 Under 40 Award.

Ms. Erfle is a summa cum laude graduate of Rocky Mountain College and earned her J.D., cum laude, from Willamette University College of Law. She is admitted to practice in Oregon, Washington and Montana.
