Chad Shultz Joins Gordon & Rees’ Atlanta Office as Partner

Chad Shultz has joined Gordon & Rees’ Atlanta office as a partner in the Employment Law, Aviation, and Construction Practice Groups.  He has more than 20 years of experience defending employee lawsuits and advising clients on how to avoid and manage litigation through proactive policies and supervisor training.

Shultz has represented management in state and federal courts in 29 states.  He helps employers prevent employment challenges and solves disputes that arise through litigation, arbitration, and mediation.  As a certified mediator, Shultz has successfully resolved numerous employment law matters.  He also assists companies by serving as "settlement counsel" on complex matters with the sole focus of quickly settling claims before they reach the courtroom.

He has written a book for supervisors and produced training videos on effective management and harassment prevention, as well as given presentations on preventing workplace violence and lawsuit avoidance.

Shultz serves as the Treasurer on the Executive Board for the Atlanta Legal Aid Society.  He also is a Trustee on the national board for the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, and serves on the board for the A.R. "Gus" Barksdale Boys & Girls Club in Conyers, Georgia.

Shultz earned his B.S. from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, his J.D. from the University of South Dakota School of Law, and his LL.M. from Emory University School of Law, where he has been an adjunct professor teaching an employment discrimination lab class since 2009.  He is rated AV® Preeminent™ by Martindale-Hubbell and has been selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America, Georgia Super Lawyers, and Super Lawyers – Corporate Counsel Edition.
