Gordon & Rees, a national law firm with more than 650 attorneys, is continuing its national expansion with the opening of its 36th and 37th offices in Columbus, Ohio and Wheeling, West Virginia on November 1, 2015.

The offices will complement the firm’s existing presence in the Northeast and allow it to better serve its many clients with needs in the area.

Manoj Jegasothy and Brant Miller have been named co-managing partners of the Ohio office, and will be joined by partners Christopher Haselhoff, David Morgan, John Ebken and Alexander Saksen.  The attorneys will primarily serve clients in the all facets of litigation as well as the energy and real estate areas.

Jegasothy and Matthew Horgan will serve as co-managing partners of the West Virginia office and will be joined by partners John Burns, Andrew Kimball, Jennifer Kirschler, William Mills, Katie Mills, Alexander Saksen, senior counsel Mark Golen, Amie Mihalko, Katlin Connelly Zarisky, and associates Jill Helbling, Erica Kelly and Lauren Kelly.  The attorneys will primarily serve clients in the same areas as in Columbus as well as in the health care arena.

Jegasothy, who is also Managing Partner of the firm’s Pittsburgh office, stated, “We are thrilled to be expanding into Ohio and West Virginia given the various relationships we already enjoy in our bordering states.  This also gives us the opportunity to further utilize our several attorneys who are licensed in those states, while seeking to grow the offices in accordance with our overall plan.”

“We are excited about these expansion opportunities as they will allow us to broaden our service offerings, primarily in the energy and real estate sectors, throughout the region,” added Dion Cominos, Firmwide Managing Partner.

Gordon & Rees’s expansion across the country is part of its long-term plan to open offices in strategic locations of importance to clients.  Since 2000, Gordon & Rees has more than tripled in size, adding nearly 30 offices, and has a major office in eight of the 10 largest cities in the United States.  In the last two years alone, Gordon & Rees opened eight new offices: Birmingham, Ala.; Boston, Mass.; Charleston, S.C.; Harrisburg, Pa.; Oakland, Calif.; Philadelphia, Pa.; Raleigh, N.C.; and Tampa, Fla.

Recognized as the fastest-growing firm in the country, Gordon & Rees is a national litigation and business transactions firm with more than 650 lawyers and 37 offices in 24 states. It is the 71st largest United States law firm, and ranked No. 26 on the American Lawyer’s Diversity Scorecard.
