Gordon & Rees Elevates Four to Partnership

Gordon & Rees has elevated Julie Haddon, Matthew Randle, Brian Scotti, and Shannon Wodnik to partnership.

Portland partner Haddon litigates matters involving professional liability, products liability, construction, employment, and securities. She has defended several large pharmaceutical companies in national litigation and has represented several large brokerage houses, along with clients of all sizes. She is experienced in all stages of litigation, arbitration, and mediation, and possesses extensive knowledge of litigation in Oregon and in California, where she practiced for five years before moving to Portland. She is licensed in Oregon, Washington, and California. 

Randle is a partner in the firm’s Sacramento and San Francisco offices, where he litigates large, complex commercial disputes in both the construction and energy sectors. Randle has experience representing municipal utility districts in matters relating to energy infrastructure, energy acquisition contracts, renewable fuel sources and disputes involving power plants.  He has handled all types of construction matters, including the negotiation of contracts, terminations for default, preparation of extra work, delay and disruption claims, fraudulent billing claims, and prompt payment statute violations.

Scotti is a partner in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office, where he focuses his practice on all aspects of employment law. He has handled claims of discrimination, retaliation, harassment, wrongful termination, and violations of restrictive covenants, has counseled management and human resources professionals in various workplace-related issues, and has provided training on topics including harassment and wage-and-hour laws. In addition to his employment practice, Scotti maintains an active commercial litigation and professional liability practice, and brings his substantial litigation experience to bear when representing clients in trial, evidentiary hearings, administrative hearings, arbitrations, and mediations.

Wodnik, a partner in Gordon & Rees’s Seattle office defends insurers in coverage disputes, defends plan administrators in litigation related to Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA) health and disability benefits, and advises insurers in handling coverage claims. She also handles general commercial disputes and professional liability matters, including consumer class actions, and breach of contract claims. Wodnik has several years of experience defending drug and medical device manufacturers in nation-wide product liability litigation, and experience managing large e-discovery matters. She is admitted in California and Washington.
