Gordon & Rees Ranked Among 100 Best Law Firms for Minority Attorneys

Gordon & Rees ranked No. 69 on "The 100 Best Law Firms for Minority Attorneys" by Law360 in 2016.

For the second year, Law360 surveyed more than 300 U.S. firms about their overall and minority headcount and ranked the 100 top U.S. law firms for minorities. The ranking is based on the firm's minority representation at the partner and nonpartner levels and its total number of minority attorneys.

According to Law360, across the county law firms continue to struggle to recruit and retain minority attorneys Law360 also states, 'the firms on this list have made some headway in shaking up the stubbornly bleak picture of diversity in the legal industry.' Law360's 2016 Diversity Snapshot revealed that less than 15 percent of attorneys at U.S. law firms who participated in the survey are minorities. Less than nine percent of partners at U.S. law firms are minorities.

For the past four years, Gordon & Rees has been honored by The American Lawyer as one of the Top Firms for Diversity. The Top Firms for Diversity Awards recognize the 50 highest-ranked firms on the Diversity Scorecard, Gordon & Rees ranks at No. 21 on the 2015 Diversity Scorecard. 

Gordon & Rees also earned 100 percent on the 2016 Corporate Equality Index (CEI), a national benchmarking survey and report on corporate policies and practices related to LGBT workplace equality, administered by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation.
