The Miami office opened in December 2009 with Managing Partner Robert M. Mayer and Senior Counsel Truth Fisher. In June 2010, the office expanded with the addition of two partners, former Circuit Court Judge Jorge J. Perez and Lynn Gollin. The office is the firm's 17th U.S. office and extends the firm's national platform to include Florida and additional states in the Southeast.

Robert Mayer has been practicing law in Florida for more than 25 years, and is a 9th generation Floridian and a 4th generation Miamian. Truth Fisher relocated to the Miami area from the firm's San Diego office and recently secured a dismissal and non-certification of a large class action on behalf of a Florida-based national restaurant chain. Mr. Perez was appointed to the bench in 2003 by Governor Jeb Bush and presided over nearly 100 jury and bench trials before entering private practice in 2007. Ms. Gollin has more than 20 years of experience in matters involving bankruptcy, construction, and commercial litigation. Together, they bring extensive litigation and transactional experience to global corporations, as well as national and regional companies.

The office focuses on complex commercial litigation, employment law, intellectual property, bankruptcy, receivership, environmental matters, construction, and professional liability, as well as providing corporate clients with general counsel and transactional advice regarding regulatory matters, compliance, operations, human resources, products, and real estate. As part of the firm's community involvement program, the Miami office supports the Greater Miami Rotary Club and the National Kidney Foundation of Florida.
