Multilaw allows Gordon & Rees to provide clients with access to high quality legal advice from all corners of the globe. Multilaw consists of 63 member firms in 52 countries with its Secretariat headquartered in London.

Bridge to Growth Program

Gordon & Rees, with its UK Multilaw partner firm, Martineau Johnson, recently participated in the Bridge to Growth Program. The British Midlands Corporation, a UK regional development agency, organized Bridge to Growth to encourage companies from around the world to open offices in the British Midlands region and thereby gain access to both the UK and the European markets. The Martineau Johnson firm is one of a number of UK service providers who provide set-up and operational assistance to the companies who participate in the Bridge to Growth Program.

When the British Midlands Corporation organized presentations of the Bridge to Growth Program in California, the Martineau Johnson firm contacted Don Rees to invite Gordon & Rees to serve as the US legal expert to accompany the British delegation. Mark Davis, a San Francisco partner, headed up the firm's involvement with the Program and met with approximately 90 emerging growth/medium sized California companies at sessions in Berkeley, Palo Alto, Orange County, and Santa Monica. William Gay and Carol Schaner, partners in the Orange County office, assisted with the Southern California sessions. The program drew attention to Gordon & Rees' corporate and international practice areas in all of its offices and provided excellent networking opportunities for program attendees and delegation members, as well as for our Multilaw partner, the Martineau Johnson firm.
