Benefits Coordinator

Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani, a national law firm, is searching for an experienced Benefits Coordinator to work in the Firm’s Oakland office.  This position reports to the Health and Wellness Programs Manager and will primarily be supporting the Benefits Department, but will also assist with Payroll and Human Resources.  Job responsibilities include:
  • New hire onboarding
  • Responding to employee inquiries regarding benefit plans
  • Assist in managing the Firm’s wellness program
  • Pull and distribute information from the HRIS system
  • Review and audit benefit deductions and vendor invoices
  • Prepare and edit communication materials
  • Assist with processing compliance obligations: 5500 filing, ACA Reporting, etc.
  • Participate in benefit strategy development
  • Support Payroll Department with assigned tasks
  • Assist with leave administration
Successful candidates should have 1-2 years of Benefits/HR administration experience. Some college is preferred.  Retirement plan and HSA background and/or familiarity with MyADP/Vantage along with a basic understanding of payroll timesheets is a plus.  Candidates should have a positive attitude, an interest in continuously adapting to the changing workplace environment, strong communication and organizational skills, computer proficiency and the ability to multitask and work with changing priorities.
