Gordon & Rees Co-Sponsors "Out & Proud In-House Counsel Reception"

An Important Event: Gordon & Rees is proud to co-sponsor the National LGBT Bar Association's "Out & Proud In-House Counsel Reception" to be held from 6:00-8:00pm on June 17 at Slide Lounge in San Francisco. "The San Francisco event is designed to both educate and elevate the nationwide effort to promote the inclusion and integration of the LGBT community into the legal profession. It is an honor to be part of this important cause." Dominic Campodonico, Gordon & Rees Diversity Committee member.   

Honorees:  The reception will honor Wayne P. Sobon, Associate General Counsel and Director of Intellectual Property at Accenture, and Dawn Smith, Senior Vice President and General Counsel at VMWare, Inc.  Wayne is responsible for Accenture's global intellectual property program, including its patent program for capturing and protecting inventions worldwide. He received his B.S. degree in physics and B.A. degree in German Studies from Stanford University and his J.D. and M.B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley. Dawn oversees VMware's worldwide legal organization. She has over 13 years of experience representing public and private companies in corporate and securities law matters.  Dawn holds a J.D. from Stanford Law School, an M.B.A. from Providence College and a Bachelor's degree in economics from the U.S. Naval Academy.
