On April 13, 2012, the Asian Pacific American Bar Association (APABA) of Colorado held its annual banquet. This year’s banquet was organized and emceed by partner and Chair of Gordon & Rees’ Diversity Committee, Franz Hardy. Franz is the president of APABA of Colorado. Associate Lance Ream, who serves on the board of directors, also helped plan the event. APABA of Colorado provides support for Asian American attorneys, judges, law students, and the general Asian community in Colorado. The banquet is the organization’s largest fundraising effort and celebrates its and its members accomplishments over the past year. Several dignitaries, including Colorado Supreme Court justices, were in attendance. Gordon & Rees continued its support of APABA of Colorado by once again co-sponsoring the event at the platinum level. The firm’s marketing department also designed the invitations and programs for this year’s banquet.
In addition to Franz and Lance, other Gordon & Rees attorneys are also active members of APABA of Colorado. Of counsel Byeongsook Seo is a past president and is currently on the board of directors of the APABA of Colorado Foundation, the gifting arm of the organization.
