Gordon & Rees to Present Aug. 20 Webinar on What Businesses Should Know About Patents

As part of the firm’s 2014 National IP Law Webinar Series, Gordon & Rees will hold a webinar titled “What You Should Know About Patents” on Aug. 20 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. PDT.

The live webinars offer free, practical training for business leaders and entrepreneurs on statutory and common law rights associated with the major forms of intellectual property (trademarks, patents, and copyrights). Gordon & Rees attorneys provide businesses with information on the different types of IP protection; cost-effective monitoring and enforcement of rights; worldwide protection of rights; cost-benefit analysis of foreign IP protection; and other issues on the horizon.

For the August webinar, San Diego partner John Haller will discuss patent prosecution, licensing and litigation as well as the Constitution’s enabling language and federal statutes and regulations, including Title 35 of the U.S. Code, 37 CFR (Code of Federal Regulations), the Manual of Patent Examining Procedure, and recent patent law changes, among other topics. A Q&A session will follow the webinar.
