Gordon & Rees Chicago associate, Goli Rahimi, will present a one hour seminar before the Chicago Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Section’s Legal & Regulatory Compliance Committee. The presentation will cover recent trends in the legal arena pertaining to whistleblower claims, including the Illinois Whistleblower Act and related hot topics pertaining to retaliatory discharge under Illinois law, the SEC’s Dodd-Frank whistleblower regulations, and present best practices and tips for all litigation counsel faced with such claims.
Founded in 1971, the Young Lawyers Section (YLS) was created to address the needs and interests of newly admitted attorneys. Since its inception, the Section has enjoyed national prominence, having repeatedly received the American Bar Association award for the best Young Lawyers Section in the United States as well as numerous awards for individual projects and programs.
Rahimi’s presentation, entitled “Blowing the Whistle on Retaliation Claims,” will take place at the Chicago Bar Association Headquarters at 12:00 p.m. CST on October 20, 2015. The program is eligible for MCLE credit.
