Gordon & Rees Partner Leon Silver to Lead Seminar on Privacy and the Internet of Things

Gordon & Rees Phoenix partner Leon Silver will lead a presentation and panel discussion at the Arizona State Bar Convention on Thursday afternoon, June 25 at the Arizona Biltmore in Phoenix. The three hour seminar, titled "The Perils of Connectivity: Privacy and Security on the Internet of Things," will feature a cutting edge look at the future of the Internet of Things led by Intel Coroporation's Internet of Things Group Marketing Leader. The presentation will be followed by a panel of privacy and data security experts, led by Silver, who will discuss anticipated legal issues that businesses and business lawyers need to address as this future unfolds. Joining him on the panel will be the Global Group Counsel for IT, Privacy & Security for Intel Corp., Dan Christensen, Privacy Counsel for Align Technology, K Royal and Chair of the ABA Forum on Communications Law, David Bodney.

A frequent author and presenter on privacy and data security, Silver is co-managing partner of Gordon & Rees's Phoenix office, practice group leader of the Firm's Retail & Hospitality Practice Group, and a member of the Commercial Litigation and Privacy & Data Security Practice Groups.
