Mercedes Colwin Co-Chairs Second Annual Women in Insurance ExecuSummit Leadership Conference

New York Partner Mercedes Colwin will co-chair and be a featured moderator at the Second Annual Women in Insurance Leadership ExecuSummit in Uncasville, Connecticut, April 17-18. Colwin will moderate a three-person panel discussion titled "Building Your Brand Both Inside and Beyond Your Organization," on Tuesday, April 18 at 1:00 p.m.. Panelists include Ann Walker Marchant, Founder and CEO, The Walker Marchant Group, Marchelle M. Houston, Senior Vice President, Claim, Bond & Specialty Insurance Travelers, and Michele Fenice, Esq., Vice President, EPL Claims, Chubb.

The Women in Insurance Leadership ExecuSummit is a comprehensive day and a half leadership conference specifically designed for women in insurance. The conference features distinguished presenters that will share insight on the trends and strategies women need to succeed in the insurance industry.

Mercedes Colwin is the founding partner of Gordon & Rees’s New York offices. She handles a wide variety of litigation including employment law, commercial litigation, products liability, civil rights violations and class actions. Colwin has successfully tried 49 cases in various jurisdictions throughout the nation and regularly defends executives from Fortune 500 companies charged with allegations of wrongdoing, including claims of sexual misconduct. Prior to entering private practice, Colwin devoted several years in the public sector where she was a gubernatorial appointee as an Administrative Law Judge for the New York State Division of Human Rights.
