Andrea Kraemer focuses her practice on defense litigation, including the areas of complex tort and general liability, labor and employment, aviation and professional liability. She has significant experience in the state and federal courts of Massachusetts as well as before various administrative agencies. Aware that her clients prefer quick and cost-effective solutions to complex and potentially protracted liability cases, Ms. Kraemer accelerates turnaround through procedural dismissals, substantive dismissals, successful tenders and negotiated settlements. When early resolutions are not possible, Ms. Kraemer works aggressively to obtain favorable outcomes for her clients.

General Liability

Ms. Kraemer represents property owners, lessors and third-party contractors in complex premises liability claims, including alleged negligent hiring, training and supervision, and alleged defective or hazardous conditions. Ms. Kraemer is experienced in asserting and defending claims for defense and indemnity arising out of contracts and leases that commonly arise in premises liability claims. Ms. Kraemer also has represented various professional sports teams and their affiliated arenas and stadiums as well as a major East Coast health club chain in a wide range of complex tort claims.


In the area of employment and labor law, Ms. Kraemer works proactively with clients to create a culture that reduces legal exposure and avoids specific situations that can give rise to claims. She represents employers before administrative agencies and in state and federal court, defending claims of discrimination and harassment, retaliation, and wage-and-hour disputes. She also advises clients regarding the management of employment and labor issues and policies and conducts internal investigations.


At her prior firm, Ms. Kraemer worked collaboratively with partners in representing major airlines and a host of other entities in the aviation field, including fixed-base operators, third-party airport operators and airline contractors in a myriad of claims in the aviation field. She has defended aircraft crash cases involving claims of pilot error, defective components and negligent maintenance.

Professional Liability
