Annelise Dominguez is an associate in the Phoenix office of Gordon & Rees. She graduated summa cum laude from Arizona State University’s W.P. Carey School of Business in 2013 with a B.A. in Business Communication and a minor in English. She obtained her J.D. from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law. Ms. Dominguez focuses her practice on commercial litigation, but also maintains a diverse legal practice including tort and contract related claims, ADA claims, Title VII claims, insurance coverage dispute claims, Equal Credit Opportunity Act claims, Fair Credit Reporting claims, and others.
During law school, Ms. Dominguez was a Senior Articles Editor of the Sports and Entertainment Law Journal and held leadership roles in the Corporate & Business Law Society and the Women Law Students Association. She was also a Judicial Extern for the Honorable John C. Gemmill of the Arizona Court of Appeals, Division One, where she drafted memorandum decisions on felony and juvenile offenses. As an Extern for Arizona State University’s Office of General Counsel, Ms. Dominguez focused on contract, copyright, free speech, employment, and assignability issues. She also completed the Lodestar Mediation Clinic and served as a mediator in civil (non-family) cases at both the Maricopa County Justice Courts and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
Prior to joining Gordon & Rees, she garnered experience working with division corporate counsel in the legal department of Rural/Metro Corporation. There, she focused on a wide variety of areas including commercial transactions, health care, HIPAA, contract drafting and negotiation, alternative dispute resolution, employment law, and due diligence for Envision Healthcare’s acquisition of Rural/Metro.
