Blake R. Jones is a partner in the Employment practice group in the San Diego and Los Angeles offices of Gordon & Rees. Prior to joining Gordon & Rees, he was a principal at a mid-sized California law firm, where he represented large and small companies, hospital systems, and healthcare providers in employment and business litigation, including numerous class actions.
Mr. Jones’ practice is primarily devoted to defending employers in a wide variety of legal claims, including wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, wage and hour violations, and other violations of state and federal employment laws. He has successfully represented clients in state and federal court, administrative proceedings, and binding arbitration, with a high rate of success on dispositive motions. Mr. Jones also has extensive appellate experience. He routinely counsels employers on personnel issues, including hiring, termination, leaves, compensation, disability, workplace investigations, WARN Act compliance, and employee handbooks.
