Catherine Bentivegna focuses her practice on franchise, commercial liability and employment defense litigation. She provides a range of services to her clients, including long-term defense strategies at both the state and federal level. Ms. Bentivegna also has comprehensive litigation experience in toxic tort, premises and product liability defense. She regularly takes depositions, participates in judicial conferences, and drafts complex motions concerning procedural and dispositive issues.
Ms. Bentivegna also focuses her practice on counseling and representing employers in a variety of labor and employment matters. She assists employers and insurance carriers in the resolution of complex employment issues, and defends employers and senior personnel against claims such as harassment, discrimination, hostile-work environment, and whistleblower reprisals.
Prior to joining Gordon & Rees, Ms. Bentivegna served as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Hector R. Velazquez, Presiding Judge of the Hudson County Chancery Division, where she oversaw a large docket of equity claims concerning commercial and residential real estate, foreclosure, probate, intellectual property, and corporate litigation.
