Christina Spiezia is an associate in the Chicago office of Gordon & Rees whose practice focuses on general civil litigation, commercial litigation, professional liability, employment, and consumer protection matters in both federal and state courts.
Ms. Spiezia has represented clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to closely-held corporations and has litigated cases involving contract disputes, business torts, real estate matters, restrictive covenants, fraud, and misappropriation of trade secrets. She also represents lawyers and various professional agents in litigation stemming from purported malpractice events. In the employment arena, Ms. Spiezia has handled federal statutory employment law claims on an individual and class-wide basis. In addition, Ms. Spiezia regularly defends nationwide and state class claims arising under consumer protection statutes, including the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, and the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Ms. Spiezia earned her J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law, where she served as a Legal Writing Tutor for first-year students and received CALI awards for her coursework in Legal Writing, Advocacy, and Business Organizations. She represented Loyola in multiple Alternative Dispute Resolution competitions and volunteered with the Law Related Education Program by teaching legal rights and self-advocacy skills to juveniles.
A graduate of Northwestern University, Ms. Spiezia holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Psychology. At Northwestern, she served as captain of the women’s water polo team. She also studied at the London School of Economics and Political Science.
