Mr. Seacord is a Partner in the Employment Law practice group in Gordon & Rees’ New York office. Mr. Seacord’s practice is focused on representing management in labor and employment disputes. He has represented employers in a variety of actions in state and federal court, including cases alleging sexual harassment, hostile work environment, and discrimination based on age, gender, race, national origin, and disability.
Prior to joining Gordon and Rees, Mr. Seacord served as an Assistant Corporation Counsel and Litigating Senior Counsel with the New York City Law Department’s Labor and Employment Law Division. While with the Law Department, Mr. Seacord represented the City of New York and its agencies in state and federal actions, as well as administrative proceedings before the New York State Division of Human Rights. Mr. Seacord has successfully defended his clients in a variety of labor and employment matters, and has obtained summary judgment or defendants’ verdicts in numerous state and federal actions.
Mr. Seacord also spent two years serving as a Staff Attorney with the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit in Atlanta, Georgia.
