Biography

With over fifteen years of experience as a litigator, Chris Raney’s practice spans the full spectrum of commercial and business litigation, including contract disputes, business torts, professional liability defense, corporate governance, trade secrets, non-compete agreements, covenants for non-solicitation of employees and customers, and other employment-related contractual disputes.

Chris defends medical device manufacturers, professionals, premises owners, and companies in a host of industries against claims for personal injury, wrongful death, and catastrophic loss.

Chris also has an active insurance practice where he counsels insurers on coverage and defends first and third-party insurance coverage claims. Chris has particular experience defending insurers against claims for property damage and allegations of bad faith and violations of Chapters 541 and 542 of the Texas Insurance Code.

Chris’ peers have selected him as a “Rising Star” of the Texas bar the past eight years (Texas Monthly, 2013-2020).
