Christopher W. Hughes is an Associate in the Los Angeles office of Gordon & Rees and is a member of the Employment Law practice group. He represents employers in all aspects of employment litigation, including wage and hour class actions in state and federal court, and single-plaintiff actions for disability discrimination, pregnancy discrimination, whistleblower retaliation, and wrongful termination. He has experience representing employers before the DLSE and EEOC, including individual wage claims, wage & hour charges brought by the Bureau of Field Enforcement, charges levied by Public Works Division, and disparate impact investigations utilizing statistical models. He assists his clients with drafting employee handbooks, client forms, severance agreements, arbitration agreements, and background check compliance forms. He also holds training events on sexual harassment and immigration audit compliance.
