Biography

Earl G. Greene, III (“Chip”) is a Partner in the Commercial Litigation practice group. Earl has handled all aspects of litigation in Nebraska and Iowa for over 35 years.  He is experienced in handling a large volume of cases with high-dollar demands and exposures. Earl has litigated a wide variety of matters including employment, asbestos and other toxic tort, professional liability, construction, medical malpractice defense, healthcare, insurance coverage, dram shop, and products liability.  He has also handled a wide variety of general insurance defense claims from pre-suit advice/discussions with adjusters, to litigation and through appeal.  

Earl has tried over 35 first chair civil jury lawsuits to verdict, including medical malpractice cases, commercial cases, dram shop litigation, personal injury, property damage cases, and first party insurance cases. Earl has over 20 years of medical-dental malpractice litigation experience. His malpractice defense work includes defense of medical doctors, nurses, physician assistants, dentists, hospitals and medical or dental clinics. Malpractice insurance carriers have retained him for defense work in both Nebraska and Iowa.

He regularly serves as an adjunct faculty at both Creighton University School of Medicine and the University of Nebraska College of Medicine where he presents classes to medical and physician assistant students on medical – legal issues. He has also authored a chapter on medical malpractice which is included in a physician assistant text book used nationally, “Physician Assistant: A Guide To Clinical Practice”, 5th-7th Editions.
