Erich Philip Nathe is an experienced Senior Counsel in the Chicago office of GRSM. He focuses his practice on commercial, environmental/toxic tort, construction, and product liability litigation. As senior counsel, Erich has experience advocating and advising businesses and individuals in a broad range of complex matters. He has further tried and mediated cases for his clients to favorable resolutions throughout Illinois.
Erich represents business and individuals in a broad range of commercial matters, including those involving breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, business tort, and trade secret claims.
He also defends organizations in environmental and product liability cases alleging exposure to various chemicals and other potentially hazardous substances. Through his years of handling a wide array of cases nationwide, he has developed a depth of knowledge of the nuanced scientific issues often involved in such matters.
Erich also represents and advises commercial landlords on a variety of issues, and has litigated breach of commercial lease matters to judgment.
Before joining GRSM, Erich practiced commercial and product liability litigation at a Chicago firm. Erich received his J.D. from DePaul University College of Law. While in law school, he worked full-time at a Chicago-based litigation firm during the day and attended classes in the evening. As an evening student and full-time clerk, Erich spent nearly every waking moment studying and applying the law. This experience instilled a work ethic, legal foundation, and desire to provide results for his clients that still serves him today in his professional practice.
