Franz Hardy is a trial attorney with a focus on business and insurance litigation, including commercial disputes, directors and officers liability, coverage, and ERISA. Mr. Hardy is also recognized as an accomplished professional liability practitioner with a successful record representing attorneys and law firms. He maintains an active state and federal court practice, including handling numerous appeals.

Mr. Hardy works closely with his clients to develop a sound and cost-effective legal strategy. While recognizing that most cases resolve, he believes that creating an early litigation plan often times results in obtaining favorable resolution. Effective strategy involves the efficient use of pre-trial tools, including discovery and motion practice. Demonstrating his focus on client goals, he is proud to have represented the state's largest public utility over his entire legal career.

Mr. Hardy has leadership positions within Gordon & Rees, as well as in the legal community. As the Chair of the Diversity Committee, he is responsible for guiding the firm's award-winning commitment to diversity and overseeing initiatives in more than thirty-five offices. Mr. Hardy also is president-elect of the Denver Bar Association.  He served as chair of the University of Colorado Law School Alumni Board.  He is a past president of the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Colorado.

Mr. Hardy is a frequent author and lecturer on various topics affecting attorneys and the practice of law, including ethics, privileges, confidentiality, and diversity.
