Gina Gi is an associate in the Los Angeles office of Gordon & Rees where she is a member of the Employment practice group. Her practice primarily focuses on defending clients against claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, violations of FMLA/CFRA, wrongful termination, failure to accommodate, breach of employment contract, and wage and hour violations. She also regularly counsels employers on day-to-day employment issues, including policies and procedures, hiring, termination, workplace investigations, leaves, overtime compensation, disability, and litigation avoidance practices.

Prior to joining Gordon & Rees, Ms. Gi’s practice encompassed a wide variety of litigation, including the realms of insurance defense, commercial litigation, employment litigation, toxic tort litigation, and construction defect litigation, where she represented businesses ranging from sole proprietors to Fortune 500 companies in these matters.

Ms. Gi is fascinated with the intersection between law and behavior, thereby focusing her undergraduate studies at the University of California, Irvine, in Psychology and Criminology, Law and Society, and receiving her double major in each in 2006. Ms. Gi subsequently attended the University of California, Hastings College of Law. She joined the Race and Poverty law journal in her continuing study of the impact of socioeconomic class and barriers to access for legal services. During this time, she also served as a legal research extern, working on law and motion matters for the Honorable Gregory Lewis, Dennis Choate (Ret.) and Gregory Munoz in the Orange County Superior Court. Ms. Gi then clerked in-house for Safeco Insurance Company, where she worked with claims personnel and defense counsel.
