Julie A. Doumit is Senior Counsel in the Sacramento office of Gordon & Rees and is a member of the Employment Law practice group. She is an experienced employment law attorney with significant experience in state and federal court litigation concerning civil rights harassment, discrimination, retaliation, whistleblower, and wage and hour claims. In addition to defending employers in state and federal courts, as well as arbitrations, Ms. Doumit represents clients before administrative bodies such as the Department of Fair Employment and Housing, Equal Opportunity Employment Commission, Unemployment Insurance Appeals Board, and Division of Labor Standards Enforcement.
Ms. Doumit also advises employers on various, day to day personnel issues, including discipline, reasonable accommodation, severance arrangements, mandatory training, family leave obligations, and labor code requirements. She also drafts policies and procedures for businesses and employers, including handbooks, policies, and procedures.
