Justin M. Puleo is an associate in the Raleigh office of Gordon & Rees. His practice focuses on health care regulatory, compliance, operational, and transactional work. He counsels hospitals and other health care providers, large and small, on a wide array of matters, including those related to the Affordable Care Act. Mr. Puleo is a DRC Certified Mediator and has experience in complex health care litigation, administrative appeals, and intellectual property.
Mr. Puleo is a native of Pinehurst, North Carolina and comes from a family of health care providers. Both of his parents are physicians, his sister is a dentist, his aunt and sister-in-law are physician assistants, his grandmother was a nurse, and his grandfather was a veterinarian.
In addition to his health policy background, Mr. Puleo has a hard science education and has conducted HIV research at the Duke Human Vaccine Institute and the Sir William Dunn School of Pathology at Oxford University, the laboratory where penicillin was first isolated. Mr. Puleo’s interdisciplinary background assists him in providing high value legal analysis for his clients.
