Kathryn J. LaFevers is Of Counsel in Gordon & Rees’ Employment, Food & Beverage, Tort & Product Liability and Aviation practice groups. With over ten years of litigation experience, Ms. LaFevers is well-versed in all phases of litigation from initial investigations, through discovery, dispositive motions, settlement negotiations and trial. Ms. LaFevers focuses primarily on litigating employment cases involving allegations of race, gender, disability and age discrimination, sexual harassment, wrongful termination, retaliation, defending wage and hour class actions and providing employment related advice and counseling. Ms. LaFevers also has substantial experience defending public entities and educational institutions in employment related matters.
In addition to her employment related experience, Ms. LaFevers has an extensive background defending product manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, contractors, premises owners and architects in products liability cases and commercial disputes in both state and federal court.
Ms. LaFevers’ has served clients from a wide variety of industries including the aerospace, automotive, aviation, construction, defense, design, industrial maintenance, food and beverage, and transportation industries.
As a Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional, Ms. LaFevers devotes a significant amount of her practice to assisting clients in developing Compliance related policies and best practices aimed at avoiding future litigation and enforcement proceedings.
