Lauren D. Bellamy is a member of the Commercial Litigation, Employment Law, and Entertainment, Fashion, Media & Sports Law practice groups. She specializes in handling cases involving contracts, business torts, telecommunications litigation, consumer fraud actions, entertainment disputes, and employment law. Her experience includes representing clients in multi-million dollar contract disputes, investigations, and arbitrations. Ms. Bellamy also has experience in representing clients in the sports and entertainment sphere, where she has provided successful legal counsel to sports agents, entertainers, and athletes in contract negotiations, arbitrations, and in litigation matters across the country.
Prior to joining Gordon & Rees, Ms. Bellamy practiced in an Atlanta based law firm, where she served on the recruitment committee.
During law school, Ms. Bellamy was very active in the advocacy program: she served as the Executive Chairperson of the Moot Court Board, she was a semi-finalist in the Georgia Intrastate Moot Court Competition, and a regional semi-finalist in the American Association for Justice Mock Trial Competition. Ms. Bellamy was also an active member of the Black Law Students Association, serving as the Chairperson of both the Recruitment and Alumni Association Committees. In her third year, the Faculty of the University of Georgia School of Law honored Ms. Bellamy with the “Kerry Harike Joedecke Memorial Award for Excellence.” Ms. Bellamy has also served as both a Pupil and a Barrister in the Joseph Henry Lumpkin Inn of Court.
