Matthew (“Matt”) Harrison is an Associate Attorney in the Charleston office of GRSM and a member of the Commercial Litigation practice group. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of South Carolina and his Juris Doctorate from the University of South Carolina School of Law. While in law school, Matt served as an Editor of the South Carolina Law Review, acted as the Chief Justice of the Mock Trial Bar, and was one of fifteen law students chosen to join the John Belton O’Neall American Inn of Court. He was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in 2018 and United States District Court for the District of South Carolina in 2019. 

Prior to joining GRSM, Matt both defended and prosecuted claims in a wide range of matters involving trucking, catastrophic injury and death, dram shop liquor liability, products liability, premises liability, and commercial litigation.  He has broad mediation and trial experience in both State and Federal Court. 

Matt lives in Charleston with his wife, Anna. Outside of the office, he enjoys playing golf, traveling, and supporting the South Carolina Gamecocks.
