Megan K. Bailey is senior counsel in Gordon & Rees’s Philadelphia office and a member of the Environmental/Toxic Tort and Insurance practice groups. Ms. Bailey’s practice is primarily concentrated in the area of complex mass tort litigation where she serves as local and national counsel representing corporate clients in the defense of personal injury lawsuits involving products and premises liability claims, including occupational exposure to asbestos.
Ms. Bailey also focuses her practice on commercial litigation, primarily in the area of insurance coverage representing and counseling insurance companies on a broad range of claims including long-tail toxic tort, environmental, professional liability and construction defect claims.
Ms. Bailey frequently achieves successful outcomes for her clients by obtaining dismissals at the pleading and summary judgment phases of litigation and by negotiating favorable settlements prior to trial, particularly in cases involving risk of large exposure.
Prior to joining Gordon & Rees, Ms. Bailey worked for a large, regional insurance defense law firm in Philadelphia where her practice involved complex mass tort litigation, insurance coverage defense, personal injury and workers’ compensation defense, and the protection of creditors’ rights.
