Michael J. Westwood-Booth is an associate in the Florham Park office of Gordon & Rees. Michael’s practice focuses on commercial litigation, professional liability defense, and labor and employment matters in both federal and state courts.
Notably, Michael guides restaurants though wage and hour compliance issues and defends both restaurants and corporations in wage and hour, harassment, and discrimination lawsuits.
Michael received his Juris Doctor from the Loyola University Chicago School of Law, where he served as an academic and writing tutor for first-year students, and as the captain of the Chicago Bar Association Moot Court Team.
After law school, Michael was a law clerk for two United States Magistrate Judges in the United States District Courts for the District of New Jersey, and the Northern District of Illinois. There, Michael gained a valuable and unique perspective about the judicial process by assisting in the settlement of over 200 federal lawsuits. Michael continues applying this unique perspective to resolve client matters quickly, efficiently, and realistically.
In his personal time, Michael enjoys running triathlons, competitive rowing, and playing tennis.
