Michael Klatt is a partner in Gordon & Rees’s Drug & Medical Device and Tort & Product Liability practice groups, focusing on class actions, mass torts, and product liability litigation. Mr. Klatt has specific expertise in the development of medical and scientific defenses to claims involving prescription and non-prescription pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and chemical exposures. For over 25 years, he has led and developed defense strategies based on medicine and science on behalf of national manufacturers of these products in significant statewide and national litigation. His product liability experience also includes matters involving construction products, cosmetics, food contamination, and insecticides and pesticides.
He frequently lectures at CLE events and University of Texas and Baylor University law schools regarding product liability and expert witness issues. Before attending law school, he taught high school social studies in Texas.
