Rachel Werner is an attorney in the Phoenix office of Gordon & Rees and is a member of the Commercial Litigation and Health Care practice groups. She graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. in Public Health from California State University Northridge where she was a four-year member of the Dean’s List, a member of Eta Sigma Gamma, the professional Health Sciences Honor Society, and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. She obtained her J.D. from DePaul University College of Law in Chicago, Illinois, with a Certificate in Health Law.

During law school, Ms. Werner worked at the Cook County Courthouse and assisted victims of domestic violence to obtain emergency protection orders. Ms. Werner also worked as a Legislative Consultant for the American Osteopathic Association and tracked legislation for Osteopathic physicians and developed new policy for adoption with the AOA House of Delegates.

Ms. Werner’s experience includes assisting in the defense of nurses, physicians and other health care professionals before the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, civil litigation including personal injury, medical malpractice, business and real estate litigation. Prior to joining Gordon & Rees, she focused on diverse real estate and business matters including fraud, non-disclosure and misrepresentation claims, negotiating purchase and sale agreements, partition actions, lease and easement disputes, HOA matters, landlord-tenant disputes, and the quieting of title while at a boutique real estate firm.
