Raymond Muro is Senior Counsel at Gordon & Rees, where he is a member of the Commercial Litigation group. Mr. Muro is a seasoned litigator with a decade of experience representing corporate and individual clients in state and federal courts through all stages of litigation, including trial and appeal. His practice includes intellectual property litigation, employment law, breach of contract claims, and representing corporate directors in board disputes. No matter the subject matter, however, the focus of his entire career has been civil litigation and trials. Mr. Muro has been lead trial counsel on cases tried to a verdict, as well as serving as second chair in multiple other jury trials.
Mr. Muro brings a unique background into his practice. He immigrated from the Philippines with his family to escape political turmoil, and was a non-commissioned officer in the U.S. Army Reserves, in which he served for six years. Immediately before attending law school, Mr. Muro completed a tour of duty with the 426th Civil Affairs Battalion (Special Operations) in Iraq, where his unit worked to address the needs of civilian communities in Ninevah Province and Kurdistan. These experiences help Mr. Muro to view cases from different perspectives and connect with jurors from varied cultures and walks of life.
