Ron Neiwirth is a partner practicing in the Miami office. He has been in practice for over forty years. He has wide-ranging experience in Chapter 7 and 11 bankruptcies; Chapter 15 proceedings in aid of foreign liquidations; Assignments for the Benefit of Creditors; and Receivership. He is experienced in real estate workouts; Debtor-In-Possession financing; cash collateral issues; purchase of assets from insolvency cases; the prosecution and defense of a wide variety of avoidance actions; and other bankruptcy litigation. He has represented steamship lines in liquidation and in Chapter 11, dealing with the intersection of bankruptcy, state law, insolvency, and maritime law.
Mr. Neiwirth represents a diverse group of clients, including both publicly and closely held companies, bankruptcy trustees, creditors’ committees, secured and unsecured creditors, investors in distressed companies and their assets, claims purchasers, and insurance companies, which frequently encounter bankruptcy related issues.
He has experience with a wide range of issues in respect of asset protection, and the litigation of asset protection and fraudulent conveyance disputes.
In addition to the creditors’ rights, reorganization, and related transactional areas of his practice, Mr. Neiwirth is qualified as a Florida Civil Law Notary, and is a director of the National Association of Civil Law Notaries (NACLN). He is fluent in Spanish.
