Biography

Seth Weisburst is Partner in the San Francisco office of GRSM and is a member of the Employment Law Practice Group. Seth represents employers in a wide range of employment litigation and arbitration matters, including class action and individual claims of alleged wage and hour violations, discrimination, retaliation, harassment, and wrongful termination.  He has significant experience in Private Attorneys General Act claims and claimed violations related to employee wage statements.  Seth also advises employers on each of these issues outside of litigation and arbitration. 

Beyond employment law, he has 15 years of complex litigation experience in both state and federal trial courts and arbitration across many practice areas, including class actions, fraud, white collar, securities/broker-dealer matters, trade secret misappropriation, contract disputes, business torts, antitrust, wrongful death, and others. Seth has significant experience representing universities, hospitals and healthcare systems, property managers, and property owners in class actions and other litigation. He also has experience responding to regulatory inquiries and enforcement actions and conducting internal investigations for employers and other clients across a wide range of industries. Prior to joining GRSM, he was Of Counsel at a prominent international law firm where he regularly defended Fortune 500 companies and prominent brokerage firms in state and federal courts, and in arbitrations. 

Seth earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. While in law school, he was an extern for the Honorable Joseph C. Spero, Chief U.S. Magistrate Judge of the Northern District of California. 

He earned his M.A. and B.A. degrees with honors from Stanford University.
